DESCRIPTION OF ISTIKHARAH NAMAZ

Istikharah means seeking good through putting one's complete trust in Allah. A believer should perform istikharah before starting any important undertaking.

Since marriage is one of the most important decisions that a person takes, it is important for both the man and woman to perform istikharah before they give the final word that binds them together.

Makruh to offer Salah after Asr and Fajr

Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (RA) said, “I heard from many Sahaba (RA) among whom is Umar ibn al-Khattab who is the dearest to me that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) disallowed us to offer Salah after Fajr till the sun had risen and after Asr till the sun had set.
[Bukhari 581, Muslim 826, Abu Dawud 1276, Nisai 558, Ibn e Majah 1250]

What is Said After Ablution

Sayyidina Umar ibn al‐Khattab (RA) narrated that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, anyone performs ablution and makes it a perfect ablution and says (I bear witness that there is no God besides Allah who is the One, Who has no partner and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. 0 Allah! Cause me to be among those who repent and cause me to be among who purify themselves), then all eight doors of Paradise are opened for him that he may enter whichever door he chooses.

Importance of Witr Namaz

Importance of Witr Namaz

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The performance of Salāt al-Witr is Wājib (necessary). Hence it is necessary to do Qadhā of Salāt al-Witr.
If one is not confident that he/she will wake up in the latter part of the night to offer Salāt al-Witr, then it should be performed before sleeping.  Since it is such an emphasized prayer, one should not risk its performance by sleeping before offering Salāt al-Witr if one is unsure or doubtful of waking up to perform Qiyām al-Layl.

The merit of Prayer

Many Muslims do not comprehend the importance of salah; shaykh 'Ab'd Al Muhsin Al-Abbad points out , that of all the fard [obligatory] duties imposed on mankind, it is only the salah that has been revealed above the Seven Heavens.
Allah summoned His Prophet above the Seven Heavens to reveal the salah , then had him returned back to Earth. There is a long narration in Sahih Al-Bukhari, a part of which reads: "Then he [Jibrail] took my hand and ascended with me to the nearest Heaven..." They proceeded through to the second Heaven then third etc Till "Then Jibrail ascended with me to a place where   I heard the creaking of pens...then Allah enjoined fifty prayers on my followers. When I returned  with this order of Allah, I passed by Musa who asked me' " What has Allah enjoined on your followers ? I replied: He has enjoined fifty prayers on them, Musa said:'Go back to your Lord [and appeal for reduction] for your followers will not be able to bear it Then it continues in detail until... so I returned to Allah and requested for a further reduction and half of it was reduced. I again passed by Musa he said to me: 'Return to your Lord, for your followers will not be able to bear it.  So I returned to Allah and He said, 'These are five prayers and they are all [equal to] fifty [in reward] for My Word does not change...
Originally, fifty salah were ordered by Allah, and the Prophet at the urging of the Prophet Musa who he met in the Heavens, went back to Allah to ask for a reduction in the number of salah offered in a day, till the present five salah were ordered

The Time Of Salah For Women

Q. "Is it necessary for a women to wait for call of Azan before she can offer her prayers (salah) or can she perform her prayers as soon as the time for that particular prayer becomes due?".

A.The ladies need not wait for the call of Azan. They can offer their prayers soon after they are sure that the time for a particular salah has arrived, no matter whether the Call of Azan has been pronounced in the Masjid or not.
The Holy Qur'an says,
Surely, the Salah for the Muslims is an obligation related with time.It is clear from this verse of the Holy Qur'an that the basic requirement for the validity of a particular salah is that it should be performed within the time prescribed for it. The call of Azan, on the other hand, is meant for inviting men to proceed to the Masjid for their congregational prayer. Since women are exempt from joining the congregational prayers, they are not concerned with the call of Azan. They can offer their prayers in their homes well before Azan, provided the prescribed time has arrived. The only thing they are required to do is to make sure that the prescribed time has come.

What Is Istikharah Prayer

0 comments | Read more...

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The term Istikhārah means to seek Khair and goodness from Allāh Ta’ālā.  When an individual makes Istikhārah, Allāh Ta’ālā will put Khair and goodness in whatever decision he/she makes.  It is not necessary that one has any inclinations or sees a dream after performing Istikhārah.  Apply your mind honestly on the issue.  The thought in one’s mind and feeling will be guidance from Allāh.  If you still doubt on the issue, seek the wise counsel of someone you have confidence in.
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

ABOUT SALAT (PRAYER) IN ISLAM

9 comments | Read more...

Salat
1. Salaat was the first and the foremost thing ordained by Allah, and it shall be the first and the foremost thing to be reckoned for on the Day of Judgement.
2. Salaat is the mark of Islam. A person who performs his salaat on time with sincerity and devotion, observing all its regulations including the Mustahabbaat, is surely a Mo'min.
3. Of all things that have been ordained by Allah, Imaan and salaat are the most valued. If there were any otber thing better than salaat, then Allah would have ordained it for His Angels, some of whom are always in ruku and others in sajdah.
4. Salaat is the pillar of Islam.
5. Salaat is the light of a Mo'min.
6. Of all the good practices, salaat performed on time is most loved by Allah.
7. Allah likes most the posture of a person when he is in sajdah, putting his forehead on the ground in humility.
8. Sa1aa.t is a key to Paradise.
9. A person in salaat is like a person who knocks at the door of the sovereign Lord, and the door is always opened for him who knocks.
10. If a person wishes to have his sins forgiven by Allah, he should perform the wudhu properly, offer with devotion two or four rak'aats of fardh or nafl and then pray to Allah. Allah will forgive him.
